Pollution
Environment means the surroundings which are around
us. There are many things which pollute the environment. Defunct garbage,
carbon- di–oxide, carbon mono-oxide of the engines, different kinds of chemical
trash, toxic water and unbearable sound pollute the environment. Our
environment is polluted in three ways. Air is polluted by different kinds of
poisonous gases. Water is polluted by rotten trash and chemical elements. Sound
is polluted when it is used beyond its capable power. Smoke pollutes air by
melting pitch, emitting from motor vehicles. Mills and factories pollute water
by throwing their industrial discharge into river, cannel. Water can also be
polluted by chemicals used for cultivation. City life is becoming ill and
unhealthy by environment pollution. Environment pollution is injurious because
it affects human lives and world very dangerously. If we want to stop
pollution, we shall have to take some effective steps against it. Air, water
and sound should be made from all kinds of toxic things and misuse. Now is the
best time to raise a slogan, “Save the environment, save the lives.”
A Birth Day Party
We are thankful to Allah who has created us as human beings. We often celebrate
the Day when we were born. I also celebrated the last anniversary of my birth
on 3rd January this year. As I have no brother or sister. I
had to take full responsibility myself. First of all I started to
dust out drawing room and ma de it neat and clean. After that I decorated
this room with colourful balloons and paper made
flowers. I also had to order birthday cake
and my mother cooked some delicious foods. I
invited all of my close friends; and my cousins were also present in that
celebration. My parents gave me a nice dress
and my friends brought different beautiful gifts
and wished me a long life with beautiful
birthday card. I enjoyed the occasion greatly. When all the guests
arrived, we started the programme. I cut the cake with a song from the parents
and guests, “Happy Birthday to you.” Then the dinner was
started and continued till 9 pm. The programme was finished through
songs and sounds. My cousins and friends took a number of photos. There
was an atmosphere of joy and merriment everywhere in the house on
the occasion. I eagerly wait every year for this very day.

You’re Visit to a
book fair
A book fair which
is organized to display and sell books is called a book fair. I visited a book
fair organized on the 21st February last year. It was held on the
occasion of observing the 21st February. The book fair was
held in the premises of Bangla
Academy. I went to visit
the fair with some of my teachers and closed friends. The fair looked very
grand, large and nice. I went round the fair. I saw different book stalls, a
huge crowd of people. The books such as novels, rhymes, adventure series etc.
were available here. I saw the children and students were buying books
according to their respective choice and taste. I learnt many things and
purchased a few books by Emdadul Hoque Milon. I saw him surrounded by a lot of
fans. He seemed to feel tired of giving autographs. The seminar held at the
foot of a tree attracted me most. I gathered immense experience through
visiting the fair.
Tree Plantation
Trees are the best
friend of man. They do us good in many ways. They supply us food, medicine,
timber, fuel and what not. The trees take in Carbon di-oxide and give us oxygen
without that no animals can live. The trees present us flowers, the most
beautiful things on earth. They keep the atmosphere cool and bring down rain.
Yet some people are so ungrateful that they recklessly cut down such a
beneficial friends. The little forests that we have in Chittagong,
Khulna,
Dinajpur, and Tangail areas are shrinking day by day for increasing
population. There are various fruit trees n all over the country. But
they are not sufficient to meet our fruit requirement. To make our
country prosperous and to check air pollution and to save our
earth from greenhouse effects we should plant more and more trees. Trees
make the earth beautiful. Trees gives us fruits which are the best
kind of food. That is why heaven is
imagined as a garden full of trees. The
earth without trees would be a big desert where
all animals will die . So we should plant more trees.
Environment Pollution

My visit to place of Historical Interest
I am always curious by nature to know the
places of historical interest. Whenever I get an opportunity, I visit
a place . During the last winter vacation, I got
such an opportunity to visit Shat Gambuj Mosque at Bagherhat , a
great historical place with my parents. The Mazar of Khan Jahan Ali at
Bagherhat is a fine one storied building. It has a beautiful dome. It is a big
and beautiful building. The mosque is beautifully decorated both inside
and outside . The mosque was used as a prayer hall as well as the court
of Khan Jahan Ali.The mosque has great attraction for the tourists
and visitors. There is a big dighi. It is said that a
horse was made to run before digging the dighi. The horse run straight
covering a certain distance from the dighi. That distance was accepted
as the length of the dighi. That is why, the dighi is called Ghora
Dighi.I visited the whole length of the dighi and came to know many things
about the social works of Khan Jahan Ali. I spent seven hours there and
saw many historical things and enjoyed myself. Now, It is one of the greatest
tourists attractions and the best architectural beauties of Bangladesh. I
left Bagherhat but the memory still is
vivid in my memory.
A
Day Labour
A day labourer is an unskilled person. He works in various fields.
He works outdoor and usually employed in agricultural and constructional work.
His work needs strength rather than skill. He works hard from dawn to dusk. He
is generally paid at the end of the day. His income is very low and sometimes
cannot earn even a reasonable wage. He usually lives in a slum and lives a
sub-human life with his family. He goes out early in the morning to look for
work. He works hard the whole day and buys food for his family. With his small
earnings and returns home in the evening. Sometimes he and his family go
without food if he cannot manage work. In harvesting season his work is in
great demand and he can earn more. Then he can meet the bare necessaries of his
life with his additional income. But in leisure period, when there is not much
work for him, his conditions become worse. The life of a day labourer is full
of sorrows and sufferings. He can hardly enjoy peace and happiness. In all
weathers good and bad – he works hard all day long and earns his livelihood the
sweat of his brow. Though the service of a day labourer is great importance, he
is very much neglected. So pragmatic steps should be taken immediately to
ensure jobs and shelter for this poorest of our population.

coaching centre and the school have a vast difference. A school tries to
influence the student to know but a coaching centre always influences on memorizing. For this a school is always needed. He is a person of good
character. He never tells a lie to us which most other teachers frequently do
now. He also believes that a teacher never tells a lie with the students if he
or she is really a teacher. So we love him and took him as an ideal character
for our future life.
